Oscar the balloonist is a textbook example of a discoverer. He travels around the world with his Balloon of Seasons and visits the animals in their homes. This time, his curiosity leads him to the Penguin Family on the South Pole. Little globetrotters will playfully get to know the everyday life of the penguins in this lovingly designed iPad App.

On his expedition to the freezing South Pole, Oscar will learn how Mama and Papa Penguin cope with their exhausting day-to-day family life. He has many questions: Who looks after the baby and sees to it always having it nice and warm in his egg? Who goes on fish hunt? And what do the penguins do against the cold? Oscar will find out.

The carefully hand-drawn illustrations come to life with but a touch on every page, so that even the youngest readers can become dicoverers. Those who look closely can find hints in the snow that lead to the in-built mini-games: Go on a fish hunt with Mama Penguin, or help the fledgling penguin to hatch out of the hard egg shell.
